This cookie information applies to the ZekaBooking platform, including the public booking pages of connected businesses.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small pieces of information stored in the browser. Comparable technologies include LocalStorage or technical identifiers. Some are necessary for operation, security and login. Others are used only with consent.
2. Technically necessary storage
Necessary cookies and storage are used in particular for:
- login, sessions and user assignment,
- CSRF protection and protection of write requests,
- storing the cookie decision,
- tenant and booking context,
- error prevention and technical security.
These functions are required to securely provide the service expressly requested by you. Necessary cookies cannot be disabled in the cookie dialog.
3. Optional categories in the cookie dialog
- Analytics & statistics: Google Analytics for reach and usage analysis.
- Marketing: Meta Pixel for measuring advertising campaigns and registrations.
- Personalisation: optional personal settings and convenience functions.
- External media: content from external providers where such content is embedded.
An optional category is shown only if the associated service is enabled in the current environment. The service is loaded only after express consent.
4. Google Analytics
Google Analytics is loaded exclusively after consent to the “Analytics & statistics” category. Without consent, the external analytics script is not integrated for this purpose.
If consent is given, _ga and _ga_<Measurement-ID> may in particular be set. Processing details are provided in the Privacy Policy.
5. Meta Pixel
The Meta Pixel is loaded exclusively after consent to the “Marketing” category. Before consent, no connection is established to connect.facebook.net or Meta's pixel endpoint.
If consent is given, _fbp and, after an ad click with the relevant identifier, _fbc may in particular be used. These identifiers are used for advertising and conversion measurement. Meta generally states a lifetime of up to 90 days for these cookies.
ZekaBooking uses the pixel only on selected marketing pages and the business-customer registration. Public appointment bookings, customer accounts, the business portal, onboarding and administration remain pixel-free.
6. Legal bases
Access to information on the end device is governed by Section 25 TDDDG. Storage that is strictly technically necessary takes place without consent where the statutory requirements are met.
Optional storage and access take place only with consent. Subsequent processing of personal data is additionally governed by the GDPR.
7. Change or withdraw your selection
You can reopen “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time and change your selection with effect for the future. If marketing consent is withdrawn, ZekaBooking stops further pixel events and removes Meta first-party cookies accessible via JavaScript.
Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
8. Browser settings
Cookies can additionally be deleted or blocked through the browser. If necessary cookies are blocked, login, security, appointment booking or form functions may be restricted.
